Name: enzela Country: India Comment: tooo fancy ful tough but ulti mate Name: sneha Country: India Comment: thanks for such an encourageing article my fear has come down alot and making me feelmuch optimistic Name: mom to be Country: Germany Comment: really its a good article. and i think it helps all the mothers. Name: Anindita Country: India Comment: I am expecting my first baby and am 8 months pregnant; prior to reading this article, I was very scared about normal delivery but after reading this article I could gather little courage for normal delivery. One thing is true, giving birth to a child is the biggest achievement of mankind but it is painful- no doubt about it.But I guess the joy of holding the child in the arms shreds away all the pain. Name: Palak Country: India Comment: It's a good article. I am also 8 months pregnant and I m enough confident now to give birth to my first baby. I believe it would be a wonderful expierence. Though I disagree with few lines in this article "Giving birth is as simple as sleeping and eating".....still... I Hope for a happy labour time Name: anjum sultana Country: India Comment: iam so happy to read this article Name: Priyanka Country: India Comment: I cant comment on this now exactly as I'm expecting my first baby and I'm eight months pregnant. But seems that now I have a choice to make as to whether go for normal or cesarian. Anyways good to read the article, indeed confidence boosting. While reading the same I was thinking about my mother with all the three of us born in a normal delivery.I think article is correct in saying that when the time comes we will surely have the courage to deliver baby thru natural procedure. Name: Elham Country: Egypt Comment: It's a great article Name: Nan007 Country: Singapore Comment: I dont completely agree with what the article says. While child birth is a natural process and there is no need to fear it, there is a need for medical assisstance. In my grand mom's generation the infant mortality rates were amazingly high. Both my grandmother's have lost atleast 1 baby. One of my friends recently delivered prematurely after going through a complicated labour. If she was not in a hospital, there was no way the baby would have survived. So, while I agree that pregnancy and child birth are natural processes and there is no need for us to fear labour, I think if we could get some help, without harming ourselves or the baby, than why ever not? Name: Hema Country: Nigeria Comment: I am in nigeria as my hubby works here i am 5 motnhs pregnant second baby going to give birth here again no doubt preganacy is not easy and when labour time cums we feel for a moment i dont want it any more but as soon as baby is our hands oh as if he has given us the whole world happiness in a moment motherhood to be felt only by our innerself.when my first baby was given in my hand i expressed it as if it a loaf of bread.all the very best to all the to be mothers. Name: Jennifer Country: U.S.A. Comment: Isn't it funny that the negative comments about non-hospital birth all came from folks in the USA? As an immigrant, it just boggles my mind how indoctrinated many Americans are that hospital is the best place to birth...too much TV and special interests selling fear, fear, fear. If giving birth in hospital is so great, how come our infant mortality rate is so bad, despite the fact that most Americans go to hospital to deliver? Oh, this crazy country! God made our bodies just right to give birt...without being poked, prodded, disturbed and thus stressed by strangers every few minutes. Name: mani Country: India Comment: i am in fifth month and this article has helped be boost my confidence on my body and ability.. There is nothing difficult in this world and birthing a child is a god's gift to an woman definitely... :) All the best for all would be mothers.. Name: hala Country: U.S.A. Comment: very nice article Name: mona Country: India Comment: ya , it was a great article as it have boosted up my confidence to pass through labour pain , simultaneously enoying the feeling of acheiveingness. Name: mom to be Country: U.S.A. Comment: Yeah i too believe if we take it scientifiacally it will be lot more easier.Labour is no doubt painful but at the same time gives us the most beautiful gift of life. Name: Logic Country: U.S.A. Comment: This is a negligent article. In these past times the author so fondly references, mortality during childbirth was high, as it remains to be in areas of the world that lack modern medical care. Yes, childbirth is a natural and, sure, a beautiful thing, but to imply that it is no more dangerous than eating may influence people to engage in the very dangerous practice of home birthing. If there is a complication, you will be glad to be at a hospital. It is not necessary to be frightened of childbirth, but it is necessary to be prudent and rational about it. Name: Mummy Country: India Comment: Kindly help me with the address of places where lamaze classes are provide...thanks Name: amlu Country: India Comment: An excellent article, it gives me power and increases my confidence level.surely i am going to enjoy and experience this labour pain. Name: Ruchi Country: india Comment: A very confidence enhancing and positive article on doing away with the fear of childbirth. I am feeling lot better and optimistic about my body going through the labour pains. Thanks Dr. Shah. Name: are you kidding? Country: usa Comment: was this written by a man? because I can't believe you even put this up. Birthing is still dangerous and very painful and is not a normal activity like sleeping or eating but is more tragic to ones body and changes it forever like puberty or death. Name: girlie Country: usa Comment: i love how the baby knows when someone else is touching my stomach.... she wont move at all. Name: Jody Country: united kingdom Comment: i believe this artical is true and birthing a baby must be the best achievment ever but i cannot find a way to take away my fear or childbirth, im terrified!!!! Name: Fee Country: australia Comment: Thankyou so much for this extract. I am fearful of labour itself, but this has made me think about it in an entirely different and more positive way.
