His career has included stints as Professor of Paediatrics at the T.N. Medical College and at the B.Y.L. Nair Charitable Hospital, Mumbai. These include: member of a Working Group set up by the Government of India for formulation of a Code for the Marketing of Baby Foods, Chairman of the Committee for Protection of the Child Consumer of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics, and founder-president of the Association for Consumers Action on Safety and Health. He has also been advisor and resource person for childcare programmes of international organizations like UNICEF, Consumers International, International Baby Food Action Network, World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action, and Health Action International.
Dr. Purnima Badve , M.B.B.S., D.G.O., is a University scholar and rank holder throughout her medical education. She has clinical experience in India and abroad. She has worked for the Army Welfare Centres and LIC of India and presently has a private practice as Consulting Gynaecologist. She is Hon Vice President of Ahmednagar Obstr. and Gynac. Society and Honorary Asso. Prof. of Physiology in Homeo.Med. College, Ahmednagar.
She has given lectures for social organisations and radio talks on different health topics. Dr. Purnima has also written articles on medical and nonmedical subjects in newspapers and magazines and is a co-author of 2 books on health, hygiene and diet.
Dr. Dadachanji completed her MBBS and M.D. (Psychiatry) from Seth G.S. Medical College and K.E.M. Hospital. She has worked as a lecturer in Psychiatry at Nair Hospital. She has also done a stint in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Department at The Royal Free Hospital, London. On returning to India, she started her private practice, specialising in child and adolescent psychiatry. She deals with children having behavioral and emotional problems; adolescents with depression, adolescents in crisis, parent and teen problems. She has also been conducting parenting workshops on "The Art Of Gentle Discipline" at various playschools and nurseries in South Mumbai.
Dr. Desai (M.B.B.S., M.R.C.P. (Edin.), F.R.C.P., F.A.M.S.), is a senior consultant neurologist at Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai and an emeritus consultant neurologist at Bhatia Hospital, Mumbai. He acquired his basic medical education at Seth G.S. Medical College, Mumbai and specialized in neurology at Newcastle, England. He has had an illustrious career being an erstwhile President of the Neurological Society of India and also the editor of "Neurology India" for over fourteen years. He occupied the post of Hon. Professor of Neurology at Seth G.S. Medical College and K.E.M. Hospital, Mumbai until 1982 and was later appointed emeritus professor. In addition, he was the founder member of the Indian Epilepsy Association and the Muscular Dystrophy Society. He has also published over 50 articles in prestigious journals and has edited several books.
Dr. Ajit Gajendragadkar, MD DCH, is a consultant paediatrician with Guru Nanak Hospital, Mumbai and S.L.Raheja Hospital, Mumbai. He has undergone his undergraduate and postgraduate training from Grant Medical College and Sir JJ group of Hospitals, Mumbai. He has been practising as a paediatrician and neonatologist in central and north Mumbai after having worked for almost a year in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Hinduja Hospital. He has co-authored a book titled "Pediatrics - Priorities in Office Practice." He also has involved himself in academic activities and research and has numerous publications in Indian and international journals. He is also attached to the All India Institute for Diabetes where he is working with juvenile diabetic children. His other fields of special interest are childhood asthma and new-borns.
Dr. Vivek Jain MD, a dermatologist (skin/hair/nail), venereologist(VD's) and leprologist(leprosy) is a post graduate from the Baroda Medical College. He has been in private practice at Baroda since 1991. Skin problems in children (pediatric dermatology) is his area of special interest. Some of his routine cases include eczemas, allergies, leucoderma, acne and fungal infections. He has to his credit over 85 articles in various newspapers and magazines including Times of India, Indian Express, Femina, Health and Nutrition and Parenting. Despite being a practicing doctor he finds time to dabble in religion and philosophy (especially Jainism and Buddhism) as well. He once presented a paper on "Religion, Spiritual Well Being and a Jain Doctor" at one of the National Conferences. He has put this very knowledge to best use by treating some of the stubborn and seemingly "treatment resistant" disorders, often with great results.
Dr. Jankharia (MBBS, DMRD, MD) is the Consultant and Chief of the CT Scan Centre of the Sir
H.N. Hospital, the Assistant Honorary Radiologist at the Mumbai Port Trust
Hospital and a consultant at Dr. Jankharia's Imaging Centre. He graduated from
the LTM Medical College, Mumbai and further specialized in Radiology at KEM
Hospital Mumbai, Bombay Hospital, Mumbai, Veterans Administration Hospital, San Diego, and the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. His special interest lies in

Dr.K.Balasubramanian MRCP (London) DCH is currently working as a Specialist Registrar in Pediatrics at St.James University Hospital, Leeds, UK, which is the biggest teaching hospital in Europe. He got his basic medical training from the prestigious Stanley Medical College, Madras and was awarded MBBS in 1993. He had his postgraduate training at the Institute of Child Health and Hospital for Children, Madras which is the biggest Pediatric center in south East Asia and obtained DCH in 1996. He had further training in Neonatology at Brighton, UK and in Pediatric Oncology & Hematology at Royal London Hospital, London. He is an Advanced Pediatric Life Support Provider and is interested in

Dr. Makhija is an assistant professor in Pathology at St. John's Hospital in Banglaore. She acquired her M.D. in Pathology from Tata Hospital in Bombay. She specializes in research related to cancer pathology and has published and presented related papers, both at Indian and International conferences.
Dr. Aniruddha Malpani is an infertility specialist in private practice. He started India's first Sperm Bank in Bombay in 1990 and has a full-fledged infertility unit providing comprehensive services, including IVF, GIFT and preconceptional sex selection. He has the distinction of achieving the first pregnancy in India after preimplantation genetic diagnosis. He has also started India's first support group for infertile couples, called Infertility Friends which is a registered charitable trust, and has authored a book, Getting Pregnant - a Guide for the Infertile Couple. Dr. Mansukhani, M.B.B.S., D.G.O., D.R.C.O.G. (London), D.F.P., F.R.C.O.G. (London), has been a consultant obstetrician and gynecologist at the Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai for the last 20 years, ever since she returned from England where she went to do her post-graduation from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She also trained in the U.K. for 10 years. She is trained in Laparosocopy and Ultrasound from the U.K. Her special interests are high-risk pregnancies and ultrasonography. She is particularly interested in the effect of diabetes on pregnancy and she is attached to the All India Institute of Diabetes.
Dr. Mehrotra (PhD, M.Phil.) is a psychologist who has been teaching the Post-Graduate Students of Psychology at the S.N.D.T. Women's University, Mumbai for the last eight years. She is involved in psychological testing and evaluation, psychotherapy (individual and group marital counselling), training in stress management, creativity, self awareness, communication and interpersonal skills and undertakes research in clinical and applied psychology. She is also the Coordinator for the Counselling and Guidance Centre of the S.N.D.T. Women's University. She has written several articles and research papers. She is the Honorary Secretary of the Bombay Psychological Association. She has also appeared a number of times in a programme called Chhoti Chhoti Batein - a programme on issues related to children.
Shalu Mehrotra, Counselling Psychologist, (M.A Applied

has worked in different schools, colleges and
counselling centres. Currently she has her own
practice and is also involved in online counselling.

Dr. Mehta (B.D.S.) is a dental surgeon who qualified from Mumbai University in 1982. He has a private practice as well as being the honorary dental surgeon at Lion Tarachand Bapa Hospital, Mumbai for the last 15 years. In addition, he holds the post of President of the Sion Medicos. He is presently in the Programme Committee of the Ghatkopar Dental Association, an organization of which he was once the President. He is also a founder member of the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry in India.
Dr. Nathwani has been a Consultant Cardiologist at the Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai and the Bhatia General Hospital, Mumbai for the last 26 years. He did his post-graduation from Mumbai University and obtained his M.D. in April 1971. After completing his M.D., he went to the United States of America for further training and then returned to Mumbai to start his own practice in 1973. He has 16 publications to his credit.
Dr Hrishikesh D Pai MD FCPS has been in the field of IVF since 10 years. He passed his MD Gynecology from the University of Mumbai, winning 2 Gold Medals. He did his one year fellowship in Reproductive Biology from the University of Melbourne Australia... He is the scientific director of 2 IVF units in Mumbai -The Babies and Us Fertility, IVF & ICSI Centre at Opera House and The Advanced Fertility Centre At the Lilavati Hospital, Bandra. He is one of the pioneers in the field of Micromanipulation in India. He has received training in Preimplantation genetics at the two leading institutes in the world - the Verlinsky unit in Chicago and the Az Vub in Brussels. The unit has recently started performing Preimplantation Genetics. He has also been instrumental in establishing the first Assisted Laser Hatching Unit in India. The unit has recently delivered one of the first few laser hatched twins in India He has helped to start many IVF units all over India - Guwahati, Jullandar, Raipur, Kakinada, Nagarcoil, Amritsar ,Vijaywada, Allahabad to name a few. 
J.M. Panthaki is a Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery

for the last seven years in the Department of Medicine of the Smt C.M.P.
Homoeopathic College affiliated to the University of Bombay. He is

She acquired her basic medical education at TN Medical College, Mumbai and proceeded to the United Kingdom after post graduation for further studies. She has trained in the field of infertility in U.K. and at Bombay Hospital. She worked at Bombay Hospital for six years and has been practicing for nearly ten years. She is also a visiting doctor at St.Elizabeth Nursing Home and Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai.
Dr. Sahetya (MD, DGO, DFP, FCPS, FICOG) is a qualified obstetrician and gynaecologist. He is a visiting obstetrician and gynecologist at the Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai and at the Birth Defect Centre, Mumbai. He specializes in prenatal diagnosis and fetal therapy at the latter institution. He did his M.D. in obstetrics and gynecology from the University of Mumbai. His career includes a fourteen-year stint (1983 to 1997) as a consultant obstetrician and gynecologist, laparoscopist and family planning advisor at the Inlaks General Hospital, Mumbai. He has made presentations at and attended various national and international conferences. In addition, he has been invited to speak at and conduct live demonstrations and workshops on prenatal diagnostic procedures both nationally and internationally. He has been instrumental in forming the 'Indian Society for Prenatal Diagnosis and Fetal Therapy' in Mumbai.
Dr. Sahni (MBBS, DGO) specializes in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. She completed her DGO from Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi University where she was the top ranker. She has also received several gold medals in internal medicine, paediatrics, surgery and gynaecology during her initial medical studies. Her special fields of interest include preterm labour, diabetes in pregnancy, delayed and precocious puberty, and gynaecological cancers. She has attended several conferences and has most recently presented a paper on Cancer of the Cervix.
Mrs. Sanghi is a qualified audiologist and a speech language pathologist and has been working in her area of specialty for the last 25 years. She is one of the senior faculty members at the Audiology and Speech Therapy Department of B.Y.L. Nair Hospital, Mumbai. This being one of the major public hospitals in the city, she has had a wide and varied experience in the assessment and management of speech, language and hearing disorders. This clinical experience coupled with her academic experience in teaching programmes for audiology and speech pathology for over 20 years gives her a distinct advantage over other professionals. She qualified in Audiology and completed her M.A. in Linguistics from Mumbai University. She has taken many short courses in the areas of speech and hearing from the University of Cincinnati, USA. She has presented and published a number of scientific papers at Indian conferences and has also trained students in this area for over 20 years.
Dr. Sanghi received his masters in Public Health from the University of Michigan and completed his medical training at Wayne State University. He is currently a practising physician at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA (USA). He specialises in educating families regarding health promotion and disease prevention.
The Dr. Neetha Sanjay is currently practicing dentistry in Singapore, where she resides with her husband and two children. Neetha graduated with a First Class degree from Yenepoya Dental College, Mangalore, after which she interned for a year at Yenepoya Dental College itself. She has also practiced dentistry with Dr. Ashok V Dabir in Mumbai.
Dr. Saxena(F.A.C.S., F.A.C.C., D.A.B.S., D.A.B.T.S.) is a highly qualified thoracic and cardiovascular surgeon. At present, he is the Hon. Professor and Head of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Bombay Hospital. He is affiliated in a consultant capacity with this hospital and the B. R. Ambedkar Hospital, Mumbai. He is also a visiting cardiac surgeon at the Royal Hospital, Muscat, Oman, the Tanzania Heart Foundation, Dar-es-Salaam, the SSR National Hospital, Mauritius, and the Defence Service Hospital, Myanmar. He passed his MBBS from Nagpur University in 1960. He has acquired vast experience as a surgeon, a good part of it in the United States of America. He holds Diplomates of the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. In addition, he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He has presented innumerable papers pertaining to his area of expertise in India and other countries. He is also the Vice-President and President elect of the Indian Association of Cardiothoracic Surgeons.
Dr. Shah is a qualified physical therapist from Mumbai University. She has also trained in Prenatal and Postnatal Care in the United States of America and has been certified by the ASPO/Lamaze. She is the founder of the Department of Prenatal and Postnatal Care at Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai and has served as the Head of the Department since 1989. She conducts her Private Childbirth Education classes "Nine Months" at Malabar Hill, Manav Mandir Road, Mumbai. She makes sure that her classes are abreast with the latest developments with regular visits to various childbirth centres abroad.
Dr. Niranjan Shendurnikar, MD, FIAP, is the Associate Professor of Paediatrics at the Medical College, Baroda. He is a recognized M.B.B.S/D.C.H./M.D. examiner. He has teaching and clinical experience of nearly 18 years. He was part of the first multicentric trial on H. influenzae b vaccine in 1994-95. He has been a member of the National Executive Board of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics. He has written a book entitled "The ABC of Child Care" in 1997 and co-authored two booklets on Polio Eradication. He has also contributed to various publications and textbooks. He is the Expert Advisor to the Drug Controller of India, Ministry of Health, New Delhi, the Union Public Service Commission, New Delhi and the Academic Counsellor to IGNOU, New Delhi. He has been awarded the FIAP at Jaipur in February, 1999.
Dr. Subba Rao (MBBS, DCH, DNB) is Professor and Head of Department of Paediatrics at St. John's Medical College Hospital, Bangalore. He did his MBBS from the Bangalore Medical College in 1977 and a Diploma in Child Health (DCH) from the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Mumbai University in 1986. He was awarded the Dr. Shantilal C. Seth prize for the highest marks scored in clinical as. The Gold Medal was awarded during the course of the Diploma in Child Health. He is a member of the Neonatal Advanced Life Support Training Team and has conducted more than 100 NALS courses for interns, pediatricians, staff nurses and medical officers all over the state of Karnataka. He is also in charge of the Diarrhea Treatment and Training Center (DTTU) and Vice-President of the National Neonatology Forum, Karnataka, since February 1999. He has made contributions to both Indian and international medical journals and has presented several papers at medical conferences around the world and in India.
Dr. Tanna is a senior orthopaedic surgeon in Mumbai. He is known all over India for a device known as the 'Dr. Tanna Nail.' He is presently affiliated to Jaslok Hospital, Lilavati Hospital and Bhatia Hospital in Mumbai as an honorary orthopaedic surgeon. He retired from B.Y.L.
