Rava Upma (Suji or Semolina Upma )

Ingredients
Very healthy, very easy, very filling

Rava Upma is highly recommended by nutritionists for breakfast or teatime!

Ingredients:

Rava (suji)
Carrots
Peas (or phansi/green beans)
Urad dal (cashews are also great)
Kadi patta
Rye (mustard seeds)
Green chillies (if you like it spicy)
Salt
Corriander leaves

Method
Boil peas and shredded carrots. Heat oil in a pan and sautee rye, kadi patta, urad dal or cashew pieces (for taste and crunchiness) and green chillies if you like like. Then add rava and roast it for about 10 minutes on a slow flame. Once roasted add boiled shredded carrots, peas and water (1 cup water for every one cup of suji). You can even add collianser leaves. Add salt based on quantity and stir. The water will start boiling and quickly get soaked. Cook for about a minute and mix. Your Upma should be ready to eat.

Garnish with corriander leaves, and serve hot. Best accompanied with dahi (yogurt) and green chutney.

Enjoy!

(Tip: Upma can be made with as many or as few vegetables. Carrots and peas or French beans add a nice orange and green colour to the dish)
