Peru ki subzi (jaamphal nu shaak) - Guava vegetable

Very easy, very quick, delicious! Especially for Jains
Ingredients:
Peru (guava)
Jaggery (gur)
Cumin seeds
Haldi powder
Red chilli powder
Dhaniya jeera power
Salt
Oil
Method
Wash and cur peru into pieces. Deseed 2/3 of Peru pieces. Crush remaining 1/3 peru pieces in a blender with some water to make a smooth mixture. Then strain mixture to remove seeds. Keep this guava puree aside.
Heat oil in a pan and sautee cumin seeds. Then add deseeded guava pieces, dhaniya powder, chilli powder, haldi powder, guava puree and 1-2 tsp jaggery (depends on sweetness or guava and how sweet you like it) and salt. Mix it well. As jaggery melts, it releases water. But you can add a bit of water for the consistency you like. Cover pan and cook for about 7-8 minutes. Your Peru ki subzi is ready.

(Tip: You can add jaggery and water to suit your taste. Perfect vegetable for Jains who on certain days choose not to eat greens)
