Homemade Sugarcane Juice


Ingredients
Very easy, healthy and refreshing party drink!

Gur has many beneficial qualities. It prevents constipation by aiding in digestion. It acts as a detox, as it helps cleanse the liver by flushing out nasty toxins from the body. It is also loaded with antioxidants and minerals like zinc and selenium.

Ingredients:

Gur (jaggery)
Ginger
Lemon
Mint leaves for garnishing

Method
Dissolve 1/4 cup jaggery in 1 glass of hot water. Once dissolved, add 2 more glasses of water and mix 1 tsp ginger and 1tsp lemon juice. Your homemade sugarcane juice is ready.

Top it with lots of ice and garnish with mint leaves.

Enjoy!

(Note: Jaggery is not as sweet as sugar, so it requires more gur than sugar. Also jaggery takes a lot longer than sugar to dissolve. This is also a perfect drink to break fasts)
