Why You Should Never Miss or Delay Your Child's Vaccination

Why You Should Never Miss or Delay Your Child's Vaccination
Vaccinating small infants and children as per the schedule is essential to protect them from dreadful diseases. Let us take a look the reasons why you should never miss or delay your child’s vaccinations.

Your child’s vaccination at the proper time is of utmost importance to keep him or her healthy in the days to come. Improper vaccination has the risk to even paralyse the child for which he or she will have to suffer the rest of his or her life. The most important thing is the timing of vaccination. It should never be missed. Here are some reasons discussed why you should never miss or delay your child’s vaccination whatsoever the situations are and however busy you are.

Immunization Saves Your Child Against Diseases

The diseases that were the cause of death of many are now been eradicated due to the advancement of medical science and proper vaccinations. Polio was once the most feared disease across the world but now thanks to the effective vaccinations that almost all the countries in the world have managed to eradicate the disease. Same is the case of small pox which is now totally eradicated from the world.

Commitment to the Society

As social beings we have certain responsibilities towards our society. Vaccination is necessary to protect our children and others’ children by vaccinating the members of our own family, so that the dreadful diseases do not spread from one person to another.

To Prevent Complications

If we do not vaccinate our own children then the diseases will be spread to other small kids who have not attained the age to be vaccinated or people who have a very weak immune system and are vulnerable to diseases. People suffering from cancer also have a weak immune and can easily get affected by these diseases as a result end up in suffering from certain long term complications that results in their deaths.

Vaccine Preventable Diseases Still Exist

Those diseases that can be prevented by proper vaccinations have not been eradicated totally so to keep your children safe you need to vaccinate them at the right time. These diseases can be easily spread from one person to another if they are not vaccinated.

Children Are the Most Vulnerable to Diseases

Researches have shown that small kids and elderly people have the greatest risk of infections than others. So, regular vaccination at the proper time is very important to keep your child healthy and to keep such infections and illnesses at bay.

Vaccination is a Way of Safe Immunization

Before vaccinating the vaccines undergo a long process of reviews by the doctors, scientists and the government so vaccines are absolutely safe for your children. However, vaccines sometimes cause discomfort, pain and allergies in children but the chances of these side effects are very minimal. Overall, the benefits of vaccines in the prevention of diseases are much more then the side effects that it may cause sometimes.

Immunizations Save Your Money

If your child falls sick because you did not turn up to give him the proper vaccinations at the right time, he or she will have to miss his attendance in school. The vaccine preventable diseases cause complications that will take a financial toll and your most valuable time. Besides, your child will have to suffer the rest of his life. He or she will have to be dependent on others because these vaccine preventable diseases can cause serious illness even like paralysis and disabilities.

Vaccination Protects our Future Generations

If we vaccinate our children against the dreadful diseases we make sure that the future generations will be safe. For example, small pox killed many people even a few generations ago, but due to the advancement of science and vaccinations this disease has been eradicated totally and now not a single person suffers from small pox.
Being a parent it is the responsibility to vaccinate our children against those vaccine preventable diseases that can be dreadful and can even cause deaths.

Which vaccination schedule should be followed by parents? Are vaccinations given in government hospitals safe and effective? What can happen if vaccinations are missed and never given to children? Discuss here.
