Hey girls, Just wanted to add a comment about the effects of using the so called 4 cream which includes betnovate, arche, fair and lovely and stillman's. Betnovate used over long periods triggers the hair follicles and causes an increases rate of hair growth. You will notice women in Pakistan/India who have been using this cream whill have substantially more facia;l hair apposed to somebody who hasn't used this cream. I would honestly advise anyone who wants to use it firstly not to and if they really want to then don't mix the betnovate in it.

LEMON JUICE : Lemon juice can be used in a variety of ways. Mix equal amount of glycerin and lemon juice, it can be sponged on to remove a tan. When mixed to a paste with salt or sugar and allowed to remain on the skin for half an hour once each day, lemon juice may lighten brown splotches caused by the sun. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes. Strain and store in the refrigerator. Each morning and evening, sponge the chilled liquid over your fading tan, allow it to dry, then rinse with water. FRESH APRICOTS, STRAWBERRIES, AND GREEN GRAPES : Mash the apricot fruit and pat it on your face. For a more complex, blend with /12 teaspoon lemon juice with the pureed fruit before applying to skin. Rinse a bunch of green grapes, squeeze out the juice. Rub the juice over tanned areas, allow it to dry, then rinse off. TOMATOES: Mash ripe tomatoes and apply the pulp to your fading tan. Let dry before removing with water.

For darker complexions (such as African American) there are special creams out there for you guys and one of the good ones is AMBI. Another good cream for all skin types is called Stillman's Skin Bleaching Cream. People are paranoid about it about all the mercury and what not but I use it and I haven't had any problems thus far.

First this is for flouncing59 from indonesia. Well, if you use such a term as "sandnig..." how do you think people would begin to feel and see themselves. I cannot help but wonder what drives you to, sometimes, near self-destruction. I refer to those women who are thinking, or not thinking, about their unborn babies and being lighter. People do not seem to understand that being light skin is also about socio-economic class status. You can be lighter but not achieve any more. If it is about beauty then it is an ideal that is set by major magazines in western culture. White means white...not light. I know these things because I am a brown skinned woman who is from the USA and you are judged by both black and white culture. If it is just about feeling better about yourself..then do it. But you have to be able to keep it up and that takes a lot of emotional energy. And as far as marrying into lightness and hoping your children will be light, that is up to DNA.

I had really bad acne, scars, and blemishes on my face due to picking my pimples but I used sudocream an antiseptic cream that will remove scars blemishes, and acne over time. you will notice every week that the condition of your face is improving. all you have to do is clense your face with garnier pure, pore wash every night and then apply a thin layer of sudocream and wash it off in the morning. If you conider using it, I have it, works and it helps my under circles around my eyes. for best results,mix stillmans,fair lovely, archie and if you can find Yoku skin whitener, and also use a cortizone cream, this help with any irritations or swelling on the face. I get my arche, but because I just found out about the mercury content, its not much in arche, but I still get scared,so do your homework and look at ingredients in all products Desi women are beautiful, but hell if you want to enhance your beauty, go for it. My eyes stand out ten time more when I put the cream on, other wise I look tired, or like a racoon.I want a even tone complexon, there a difference in looking whiter and having a even tone face. What i did was there is this new injection that will make you about 4-6 shade lighter then you are now. But just let you guys know it's very costly about $13,500 Singapore dallor. I spent a great deal in the sun and my skin turned dark. I've tried many of the home remedies and none of them worked. It has been about 5 years now of staying out of the sun. hi there This works on if you want to lose 1/2 or 1 shade. Wash your face after you've been in the sun and become noticeable darker. Take a vitamin b complex supplement, it must have b3. Make a paste of tumeric, yellow food colouring, fair and lovely cream, and ponds perfect colour complex. Leave on for 2 hours, have a sleep or something while you wait. Drink lots of water. After you wash off paste, just put ponds cream and carry on. For long term results, use an oil free sunblock, a nice cap or hat.

Hi all again. OMG you all still care about you skin colour .... (well i do to hehe) well k i have some remediess: Lime or lemon juice, turmeric, honey, etc are natural bleach. They remove tan and make your skin fairer. (Note that lemon juice is more effective than lime juice for getting fair complexion). Cucumber juice can be applied on dry as well as oily skin to get fair complexion. To make cucumber juice, grate cucumber (with skin) (kaddukash) and squeese it. Only 1/2 to 1 teaspoon is sufficient for a single application. Drink 10 glasses of water daily. Try the following pastes, mixtures or scrubs, if done daily, you will see a difference in about 10 days. These fair complexion remedies are also good for small babies. All the mixtures, pastes and scrubs should be prepared freshly as they do not kkep for a long time. Apply a mixture of equal amounts of lemon juice and honey on the face and whole body. Leave it for 15 minutes and wash off. Apply a mixture of equal amounts of lemon and cucumber juice on the face and whole body. Leave it for 15 minutes and wash off. If your skin is dry, use honey and lemon juice. First scrub your face with cucumber slices and then apply cucumber juice (with skin on cucumber) to your face, leave it there overnight and wash in the morning. Apply a gram flour (besan) and turmeric (haldi) paste. After sometime when it dries, scrub it off gently. This would gradually reduce body hair over a period of time. Apply yogurt to the face. Apply grated white radish or its juice for fairer complexion. if you guys want anything else.. like for example get babies fare or dark underams, ask me! =)

hi all, firstly, its not important to be fair in that having a dark complexition is bad. What is important is having healthy glowing skin as close to your natural skin tone. check the inside of your wrist, thats the skin tone you need to be. saying that, here are sure fire ways to get a better glowing blemish free, smooth compextion. 1. remove fats and sugars from your diet. eat only fresh fruit and veg. no oily stuff. 2. if you have acne, go to a dermatologist, he/she will put you on creams first, if that doesnt work then antibiotics, then hormonal stuff etc, the last resort is a drug called Roaccutane (amazing!!!!!) 3. once you egt that sorted. try to eat healthily and excercise, lose at least 3kgs, build more muscel than fat. 4. Now here is the products you can use. Johnsons ph5.5 fair complextion is really good, apply alot at night. after a few weeks, you skin will look good. ponds perfect colour complex is also good. the best product is called "Enlighten" by Innoxa . all the products will have no side affects. 5. stay out of the sun, even indirect sunlight will cause sun burn/ sun tan. if u cant help geting in the sun, then carry a book with you always to block you face. 6. use a good sun block. but becareful, some sunblocks cause oliy skin and acne. use instead a mositureriser and sunblock (usually spf 15) in one. use a spf 39 sunblock for the back and sides of your neck since thats very vunerable. 7. drink lots of water, believe me it helps. it gets rid of the toxins. 8. get lots of sleep, if u dont get 7 hour of sleep at least, your face will look tired, grey and darker. 9. limit ur stress, it makes you dark and blemishy. dont go on extreme diets either, live healthy, coz you skin needs food as much as you do. lastly, i have done all of the above. i was previously a wheatish complextion, now i am much much much fair but more important i have great skin, it glows, it looks health. i dont want to be white fair i just wanted to have even healthy skin. u have to love you, all of you. by the way, for all of you with skin problems, go to a dermatologist, its fantastic. get a professional to help you. i suffered from acne since puberty. its gone now!!! after 4 months of treatment. it stopped in the second month and my face improved after wards. besides doing that i made an active life change, i lost 7 kg, i started really taking care of myself an concentrated on my studies. If u want to go on roacctunane, its a very serious drug, u will have to go for blood tests and monitor that u dont have too much intake of certain vitamins, listen to your dermatologist, its also very expense, i pay close to R 2500 a month for it. but it was worth it!!!!! all of you who have skin problems,i know how u feel, i was once reading these mail boards a while back and feeling hopeless about the way my skin looked, but just take each day and try to activley change your life style. god bless

Hey everybody, Here r sum simple remedies u cud use: For fair skin:Lemon juice helps. Creams, even though temporary, hev numerous side effects. But the Vicco turmeric cream wurx. But I really wudn't suggest that. Drink water. Atleast 12 glasses a day. If u need a face pack, I suggest a mud pack which lightens ur facial complexion. If u need a good complexion in abt a day-CHEAT!!! Use the Lakme Face Souffle as a base and use the Lakme Compact upon that. It makes the skin abt 2 shades lighter. For skin covered with acne: Multani mitti or fuller's earth face pack for light acne. For acne at a worse level, I wud reccomend that people put some wild turmeric on the pimple. Or use a face pack of Biotique containing wild turmeric. Myristica pack wud b a suitable option too. Lotus Herbals' product-Tea Tree Clarifying face pack with Petit-Grain, Pine and Juniper and Bergamot is pretty effective. But 4 acne at its worst-when I say worst, I mean a heavy breakout, a cream containing Benzoyl Peroxide is recommended. This chemical comes in the form of a cream called pernex containing 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide which is Xtremely effective. but I must warn u, it is strong and must only b used in dire need. And last but not the least, use an oil battling astringent and get rid of those lousy blackheads by exfoliating ur skin for a smooth touch. I have tried various fairness creams including fair & lovely, stillman's bleach cream but for those of you who want something that really changes your tone, I highly recommend fade cream. There are a lot of different kind and brands out there. I used one by Palmer, it really worked for me. Does anyone know what to do about having dark arms caused by the sun. My hands get a shade darker every summer although I use sun block. I heard about a this thing called Fair and White, does anyone know if it really works?

I'm from a mixed race background and as being part indian i say you people have got nuthin to worry about. We should all accept who we are because that's how god made us and that's how we all are different. And using all these lightning creams/products just makes your skin worse. (Trust me on this one my mum is a professional dermatologist)

If you have acne then why don't you go to the doctors and ask for tablets. I had antibiotics for 5 months continuously and now all of my acne is cleared up now. I had an antibiotic called "doxcycline". At the same time I advise all of you to use a cream which has "benzoyl peroxide" - very useful.

people should chose you for who u are not the color of your skin. I was born with totally fair skin but after moving to usa it got dark that doesn't mean i am less beautiful!! My mom wants me to have a fair complexion like her but you no tumeric with milk and lemon with honey isn't what life is about. love yourself because you are u not because you are beautiful on the outside. be happy and you r body will be happy.
